  1. March Break Camps 2007
    Exciting courses, involving music, movement, art and a short musical drama for ages 3-5 & 6-8; and an amazing music creating camp with a living Canadian composer for the age group 8-13 yrs.
  2. CMC Choir for 5 - 9 year olds
    A structured yet non-demanding and most of all, fun young children’s choir where students can experience ensemble using the instrument they were born with: their voices! Students with learn a range of repertoire, with the main focus being for the children to have a positive, joyful experience while learning the basics of music and choral singing.
  3. Musical Preludes for 0 - 12 months
    A 12 week program for parent/caregiver and baby experiencing traditional nursery rhymes, bouncing lap songs and rhymes, fingerplays and toeplays, lullabies, and singing games.
  4. Musical Preludes for 12 - 24 months
    A 12 week program for parent/caregiver and baby, having fun with nursery rhymes and bounces, fingerplays and toeplays, lullabies and singing games. Simple percussions instruments, such as jingle bells and shakers are also used with this age group as their fine motor skills start to develop.
  5. Dalcroze Eurhythmics for 3 - 5 yr olds (morning & afternoon sessions available), for 6 - 8 yr olds (after school program) and for adults (evening Course)
    An exciting mix of learning music, consisting of 3 branches: (1) Eurythmics - the whole body engagement of physical exploration of music elements; (2) Solfege - the study of pitch relations, ear-training and sight reading using movement, and listening games; and (3) improvistation.
  6. Women's Singing Circle with Becca Whitla
    The first Wednesday of each month, our women's singing circle meets to sing and to experience the joy and vibrancy that results when we join our voices together. No singing experience or ability to read music is necessary - just the willingness to learn new songs and harmonies in a safe, fun and supportive environment. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel or postpone a course for for lack of enrollment.

ALL of our courses have a maximum of 8 students per class, except for the Choir and Women's Singing Circle, where the limit is 20 members.
Fees do not include course materials. These materials may be purchased at the school.

Enrollment closes after the second class. No refunds will be given for cancellation or withdrawal. No make-up time will be given for missed classes.

RECITALS

Our winter recital for both locations is scheduled for Friday, December 1st at 6:30pm at Islington United Church. Our private instrumental students as well as our CMC Children's Choir will be performing.
Please sign up on the posted sheets at either location, if you are interested in performing - the deadline to sign up is November 19th, 2006, so sign up now! Thank you to parents, families and friends for your continued support, and thank you also to our caring and competent teachers, who have done an amazing job this year. CMC recitals are professionally videotaped, so if you are interested in purchasing a DVD copy for $15, please pre-order your copy by contacting us by phone or e-mail. All proceeds go towards our new CMC Student Bursary Fund.



RCM Exam Schedules and Deadlines

The deadline for the RCM Examinations are posted at: www.rcmexaminations.org
Students may leave their completed applications at the Classical Music Conservatory no later than 3 days prior to each deadline.
