Kenin McKay, (Bach. of Music in Performance, U of T)
Violin/Viola

Kenin McKay began her violin studies at the age of three with Virginia Little in Brantford, Ontario, and continued with Adele Pierre several years later.  She competed in many area music festivals, winning numerous scholarships and awards, and was involved in various youth, chamber and opera orchestras as both a member and soloist..  She received her ARCT diploma in Violin Performance in 2002 and came to study at the University of Toronto with Scott St. John.  Currently entering her fourth year, she will be studying with Annalee Patipatanakoon, violinist of the Gryphon Trio. 

Kenin participated in various Suzuki institutes from a young age.  In more recent summers she has attended the Scotia Festival of Music, the Domaine Forget Academy, the Southern Ontario Chamber Music Institute, and the Banff Festival of Music.  In 2002 she was chosen as a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and toured Japan and Hong Kong.
