Christine Joy Astronomo, ARCT 2006
Piano, Theory

CJ began piano lessons at the age of 4 with Ms. Ling Na Wong. Upon her recommendation, CJ continued her musical studies with Ms. Lusiana Lukman in April 1999 at the Classical Music Conservatory. She is currently finishing her Teacher's ARCT Diploma. Having studied and worked closely with Ms. Lukman for the past 8 years, CJ has, as a result, a great love of music in terms of performing, accompanying and teaching. CJ began teaching at CMC in 2003. Her open personality and musical talents have made CJ an inspiring, encouraging and fun teacher that her students can easily relate to. Aside from teaching piano and theory, CJ is also involved with CMC's Children Choir.

CJ aspires to pursue a career in the film, theatre, music and media industry. She began her film internship in the beginning of 2005 by doing the prestigious co-op education program at Alliance Atlantis, and now she's pursuing her studies in Ryerson in their reknown theatre program.

CJ is very actively serving her church by performing the piano, electric bass, drums, and being part of the church choir. She is in the youth band leader and she does special events planning and productions at her church.
