Bass, Piano & Theory
Jordan has studied music from an early age beginning with piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music and is currently working towards an ARCT with the talented teacher and pianist George Thurgood. Having a great love for music, Jordan attended Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton completing a two year diploma which included the extensive study of jazz bass, jazz theory and the history of jazz music. Jordan then completed a B.F.A. in music at York University working with talented teachers such as T. Sankaran and Casey Sokol learning South Indian Music and the techniques of Piano Improvisation.
As a bass player Jordan has played with many bands including Spinecracker, Sound System with Mitch Girio, Random Order, Leviride, Kelly Clipperton and The Jayne Waynes. These groups range in style and genre including Punk, Pop, Reggae, Ska, Jazz and Country. Jordan has performed live at venues all over Canada and the States including Festivals such as North By North-East, Candadian Music Week, New Music West, Edge of The World Fest and Halifax Pop Explosion.
As an artist Jordan has also began composing, playing guitar and singing in Trickling Velvet and presently plays bass in up and coming pop band The Cliks.
With a great love of music Jordan enjoys the art of teaching all styles to all levels, ages, and walks of life. Jordan has good qualities of patience and a good sense of humour.
