Children's Choir

What is it?
The CMC Children's Choir for 5-6 year olds (SK and Grade 1) is a structured yet non-demanding and most of all, FUN young children's choir where students can experience choral ensemble using the instrument they were born with: their voices! Students will learn a range of repertoire, with the main focus being for the children to have a positive, joyful experience while learning the basics of music and choral singing.
*For older children, please see our Gleesical page!
Primary Goals
Our primary goals for our children's choir are as follows:
1. To provide basic choral instruction including vocal training, pitch recognition and rhythm development in a fun and friendly environment.
2. To enrich our choir members' understanding and enjoyment of choral music.
3. To enable our choir members in acquiring confidence, self-esteem and discipline during the learning process.
4. To provide performance opportunities that will promote a sense of accomplishment for our choir members.
5. To expose our choir members to a wide range of musical genres and multicultural repertoire.
6. To contribute musically to our Roncesvalles community by various choral performances throughout the year.
